Forward Carlos Martinez (194) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Aneury Parra produced 30 points and 6 rebounds and American guard DeJon Waters Jr (190-1997, college: Pitt St.) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Santiago Max and four Evolve OL players scored in double figures. Santiago Max have a solid three-game winning streak. Santiago Basket (2-2) smashed visiting Sameji (0-4) by 20 points 110-90. The winners were led by Canadian guard Michael Tillman (195-1996, college: SUNY Adirondack) who scored that evening 36 points (!!!) and American point guard Jalen Knight (183-1998, college: Livingstone) supported him with 19 points. Even 24 points and 8 rebounds by Randy Ortiz did not help to save the game for Sameji. Forward Jonathan Aybar (206-2001, college: UNF) added 17 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Santiago Basket maintains second position with 2-2 record behind leader Fenix. Sameji at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Evolve OL. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Immortals. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Chilean swingman Juan Valenzuela (191-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and power forward Leonacis Pena (198) who added 17 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Edwin Espinal (198-1993) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and American forward James Milton (203-1992, college: Stevenson) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Immortals' coach Jermaine Barnes rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fenix have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record which they share with defeated Immortals. Immortals at the other side still keep top place with one game lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Fenix who have the same record. Immortals will play next round against strong Santiago Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. It will be a derby game for which supporters look forward to, where their team will travel locally in Santiago to the arena of Santiago Basket. Fenix will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sameji. It will be extra interesting game as Sameji is their local rival from Santiago.
